I just wanted a place to show off my cosplays through the years!
2012 Philly Wizard World
My first cosplay ever: Fire Nation Katara, complete with a blue ribbon as my water for bending!
2012 Otakon Baltimore
The first con that I traveled to! Approximately 4 episodes of Gravity Falls had aired at this point, so almost no one knew that I was Mabel Pines, but the ones who did were excited, especially when they saw my actual-shooting grappling hook! I also brought back Fire Nation Katara, then had my bending taken away by an Amon.
2013 LeakyCon Orlando
Disclaimer: LeakyCon was mostly Harry Potter themed, and run by an organization that is not affiliated with JKR or anything official, but in light of JKR showing her true colors as an absolute trash human, I no longer support anything related to her worlds. But this convention was a huge part of ~finding myself~ and the community we built is still a beautiful thing and some of the friends I made here are still in my life today.

(1) Say hi to my friend Devin!
(2) I put SO MUCH thought into this one, and I was so excited about having an interactive cosplay that would let people "ride" on the Hogwarts Express.
I wanted to make sure it would fit anyone who wanted to take a pic, so I rounded up with the "passenger compartment" sizing.
...
and I completely forgot that I WAS GOING TO ALSO BE INSIDE. So everyone who wanted to interact got the warning that it would involve being VERY CLOSE to me.
Extreme facepalm moment.
2014 New York Comic Con
I was working for the independent bookstore that was the Official Bookseller of NYCC! It was a very cool experience ... and also only my second day on the job!
2015 GeekyCon Orlando
Disclaimer: GeekyCon (previously LeakyCon) was mostly Harry Potter themed, and run by an organization that is not affiliated with JKR or anything official, but in light of JKR showing her true colors as an absolute trash human, I no longer support anything related to her worlds. I had no idea until someone ran over and showed me, but I ended up on the cover of the program!
The castle skirt was CAKED in paint. With that and the enormous crinoline, I needed A LOT of assistance.
2015 Halloween
Ok, I know Halloween doesn't necessarily count as cosplay, but I'm proud of these costumes!
I got a text around 10am inviting me to a fundraiser party in the local historic graveyard (to support the nonprofit that preserves it) and I think I threw together a pretty solid Arthur Dent costume in just a few hours!
This was for a concert that happened around Halloween - I invented some punctuation-themed superheroes? I guess? There was Exclamity Jane and her partner, Perplexity, which was green and question-mark-themed!
They're one of my most reused costumes because they're so quick and versatile!
Here are me and Casey in them for Halloween a few years later!
2016 GeekyCon Orlando

This one was ... conceptual. I was a red phonebox, which had drawstrings, that when you pulled them, lifted up the phonebox (like you were sinking below it) to reveal the Ministry of Magic, all 10 floors of which I drew out based on what was mentioned as being on each floor. It took ... a while. Also an alarming number of people thought I was the TARDIS? Which is ... famously blue?
2016 New York Comic Con
Amethyst! This cosplay taught me that body paint and wigs are Not For Me! (I DID get to meet so many awesome Steven Universe cosplayers) So I recycled the Knight Bus again for my second day there!
2017 Gen Con Indianapolis
I finally discovered Critical Role and Dungeons & Dragons! I decided to go as a beholder (specifically K'varn from CR1), complete with a giant cardboard d10 that people rolled to see which of my eye-stalks got them!
While waiting in line for the Critical Role autograph session, Sam and Travis came over to roll my d10 and have a go at deciphering all the icons on the cards!
The video was captured by my amazing friend LaTia!
2017 PAX Unplugged Philly
The very first PAXU! Wonderfully local, and I got to bring Casey this time!
I brought back K'varn, and turned Casey into Clarota, complete with tinfoil hat!
2018 Gen Con Indianapolis
Definitely do not recommend cosplays that are both LARGE and FRAGILE. Though our gelatinous cubes DID get lots of compliments!!
UM BUT THEN WE GOT A SHOUTOUT ON TALKS MACHINA AND I DIED
2018 PAX Unplugged Philly
Another conceptual one: a natural 1 and a natural 20, which we alternated over the con days!
For the nat1, all failures: rusty sword, ripped up clothes, failed trap checks, injuries, thorny vines, rocks in your coin purse, poison potions instead of healing, impaled by arrows... and the nat20 had all the good stuff, including all our previous cosplay monsters skewered on their sword!
Also a giant shiny cardboard diamond ring, which I thought I was just making for the costume...
I was hoping he would do it at some point during the con, but absolutely did not expect it to be first thing on the first day!! I also played right into the hands of him and his conspirator, our friend Meg. They were going to plan to "accidentally" bump into each other, and she was going to ask for a very specific photo (where I was in front of Casey, so I wouldn't see him getting down on one knee) but I was also super excited to see Meg, so I had already been texting her to meet up anyway!
Here is the photo I THOUGHT we were taking, and a photo of the actual proposal moment!
2019 Gen Con Indianapolis
A little anticlimactic after a PAXU proposal, but oh well! We brought back our "critical rolls" for this one!
